Engine removal


Today we removed the engine to check the condition of the clutch, and luckily it has a brand new one in there.

Front axle off


Today we have stripped out the front axle for paint and started to fit some body panels to the cage.

Cage being finished off




Today we have finished off all the welding on the roll cage so now ready to start putting a body on it. Also stripped out rear axle so it can be cleaned up an painted.

Back Body


The arrival of the back body. I'm going to use the wings from this tub and the fuel filler.

Lots done today, well looks like lots anyway. Today I have made new outriggers which also act as rock slidders and installed two of the three roll hoops. It will be my first land rover with leg room!!!

Rolling Chassis


Now that we are at this stage I have had a measure up and I will have to move the engine and gear box back, about 200mm, in order to keep the series front.

Last post for the body


It lasted 27 years before I got hold of it.....!!!

End of Day 2

Here we are at the end of day two with everything now stripped and ready for an army to come along and help lift the monocock off
